The Clinical Licensed Social Worker, Psych investigates, assesses, and plans interventions to help patients cope with social, emotional, economic, and environmental problems.

Essential Functions:

  • Interviews and assesses patients and/or patient's family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.
  • Determines, prioritizes, provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions.
  • Participates in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress. Consults with healthcare team members to promote, monitor, and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.
  • Assists with discharge planning and processes. Identifies appropriate resources, including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provides referrals as part of the discharge plan.
  • Performs Medicaid screenings as indicated for NHP.
  • Completes psychosocial history and summary (or update) within 72 hours of admission.
  • Provides psychosocial assessments, written treatment and discharge plans that reflects the overall treatment objectives for patients.
  • Performs social work activities maintaining accountability for the delivery of quality social work services.
  • Plans and conducts daily therapy group sessions and programs, with individual and family sessions as needed, in accordance with the inter-disciplinary treatment plan and daily priorities of patients and needs of Behavioral Health Services.
  • Attends and participates in designated treatment team meetings on all matters concerning the patient and/or family.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic milieu.
  • Completes routine paperwork within prescribed time frames and efficiently documents on individual progress notes all pertinent and meaningful observations and information.
  • Adheres to the general expectations for all employees in order that the program functions in an effective manner to meet the treatment needs of patients.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and a commitment to upholding the RRHS corporate compliance plans and their department specific compliance plan.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

  • BLS required
  • Handle with Care (within 6 months of hire)
Licenses:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA)
Minimum Work Experience:
  • 3-5 years social work experience preferred
  • Psychiatric social work experience preferred
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) will perform clinical social work, but only under the direct consultation of the LCSW.
