Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Raleigh, NC, office to assist with a wide range of challenging water and wastewater projects. The ideal candidate will have a prominent role on our team, strong communication skills, and a desire to work collaboratively with Project Engineers in the design and production of contract documents for various water and wastewater projects.

Prepare plans, sections, and detailed mechanical layout drawings for an array of water and wastewater projects for municipal and private-sector clients;
• Assist in the production of contract drawing submittals while interfacing and coordinating with various engineering disciplines, technicians, and other design specialists;
• Assist with review and coordination of technical specifications;
• Conduct QA/QC and constructability reviews of other projects;
• Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of CAD standards across the Water Service Line;
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related engineering field), with emphasis in water resources.
• A minimum of 1 year of design experience on water and wastewater projects.
• Demonstrated ability with current versions AutoCADD, and AutoCADD-3D; Plant-3D, or Revit.
• Ability to create layouts from process schematics and instrumentation diagrams with minimal oversight.
• Ability to apply theories, principles, concepts and practices of civil and environmental engineering to the design and construction of water and wastewater pipeline, pumping, and treatment infrastructure.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be a self-starter who is detail-oriented with experience collaborating across engineering disciplines.
