Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician

Job Summary: -- I&E Tech must balance a high level of surveillance and maintenance to maintain the integrity of the plant. The Technician will take a proactive approach in mitigating developing threats and ongoing events. The I & E Tech must demonstrate the ability to recognize, analyze, and respond to abnormal conditions in a timely manner to minimize potential impact to people and the environment as well as eliminating risk to the liability of the company. The position requires working outside in various weather conditions and in various areas where contact with local wildlife could be dangerous. Troubleshoot/repair eic equip., controllers, transformers, elec valves, pressure switches, bailey system knowledge. Will perform periodic inspections and routine maintenance on the plant system and complete maintenance records, service/ calibration reports, and other required documents. Schedule will be 9-hour shifts. Candidate will be working as a team with the onsite maintenance group. All offers of employment are conditioned upon successful completion of pre-employment drug test.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Learn and understand PPM's, procedures, and business ethics policies.
  • Plan and perform all assignments in a safe manner by utilizing the proper tools, safety, environmental precautions, reporting, permitting, and Process Safety Management.
  • Ensures proper operation of all electrical/control system components including electronic components, motors, solenoids, limit switches, PLC I/O modules. Fabrication and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Able to trouble shoot and diagnose problems, including voltage and loop test , replace or repair parts of equipment utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment and materials to accomplish maintenance functions including but not limited working with cable tray, conduits, feeder cables, build control panels, terminate controls, motors and instrumentation.
  • Serves as a vital resource for the manufacturing machinery preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Applies all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, corporate and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
  • Improves operations productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools and equipment access.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of reliability centered maintenance strategies.
  • Utilize proper Lockout/ Tag out operating and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local policies and procedures.
  • Attend all safety meetings and safety training as required by company.
  • Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety; Adhere to and carry out all company environmental rules, polices, standards and producers.
  • Reports injuries, incidents and hazards to unit supervision as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Conducts tasks with appropriate PPE as assigned.
  • Responsible for personal safety and that of fellow employees.
  • Provide attention to detail and dedication to work to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.
  • Practice, participate and support the plants health, safety and housekeeping policies, procedures and processes to create and maintain an orderly, safe, and healthy work environment.

Qualifications: --

  • At least five (5) or more years of electrical and instrumentation experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.
  • High School Diploma
