The Clearing's 10 week paid Internship Program is a great introduction to the world of management consulting. Interns are placed on client-facing teams and partnered with the firm's senior consultants and subject matter experts to learn and grow in the work, contributing to projects that are strategic priorities for our company. At the end of the program, you will provide a final communication product - written, verbal, and/or in a presentation - to tie together key findings from your time and work at The Clearing.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Contracts Intern will support the company in serving its expanding public and private sector client base. The Intern will provide assistance on a variety of contractual matters (U.S. Federal Government, state and local, non-profit, and commercial), research, writing and administrative tasks.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Assist directly with routine research, gathering data, and disseminating information for and on behalf of the Contracts team
Provide general administrative and operational support to the Contracts team, including support to drafting, revising and/or negotiating contract documents
Organize and maintain contract files and assist with data collection and report generation
Ensure compliance of contract file documentation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree from an accredited college or university. For those with undergraduate degrees, rising junior or rising senior candidates preferred.
One (1) year of prior work experience in an office or professional environment required
Willingness and ability to work 4-5 days a week (minimum of 32 hours a week) required
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in the surrounding DC and Baltimore metro areas; occasional travel (5%) outside of these regions could be expected
