AMD Research seeks a post-doctoral scholar to pursue research projects on novel memory and computing architectures at low temperatures related to quantum computing. The candidate should have completed in a university program leading to a PhD or advanced degree in computer science, computer architecture, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent. The candidate will be responsible to propose architectural improvements, create performance and power models of the system, collect experimental and simulation data, and analyze the data. The candidate will work on a team of researchers seeking to build the fastest computers on the planet such as ORNL Frontier and LLNL El Capitan. A strong candidate will have experience with parallel programming such as using OpenCL, CUDA, or ROCm. The candidate must be able to document the ability to work in the US.
