Position Purpose Use expertise in land development and utility construction to perform site inspections and meet client compliance expectations while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
Use excellent technical skills to review shop drawings, use storm water BMP, perform lighting surveys, conduct NPDES and water/sewer inspections as well as hydrant flow testing
Understand project specifications and construction plans
Provide excellent customer service to clients by conducting pre-construction/progress meetings and process pay applications from contractors
Use excellent communication skills to explain job progress and issues effectively to clients, market sector Project Manager, and Construction Administration Director
Perform site inspections, document progress, and plan compliance for the client
Prepare bid packages, administer bid process though selection of contractor
Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5-10 years of relevant experience in Land Development and utility construction
Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, PIM, MS Project, etc.)
Experience with site and utility construction estimation
Please note that you must be willing to travel (day trips) for project progress inspections
All candidates must be able to successfully pass a motor vehicle records check, drug screen, and functional assessment
Preferences
Experience with North Carolina State Construction Office is preferred but not required
