Job Description

We are currently seeking a Designer II for the Water Resources Group.  This group is comprised of civil engineers, wetland scientists and registered environmental managers.
 
Skills & Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree in engineering with an emphasis on hydrology, hydraulics and stormwater management.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have obtained an EI (and are on the PE track), have 2 or more years’ experience in water resources design experience and have utilized ESRI GIS (Arc Map, etc).
  • Design and analysis of stormwater management facilities for peak flow rate detention and water quality.
  • Analysis of open channel systems and closed conduit drainage systems.
  • Ability to work in AutoCAD and familiarity with standard H&H design/analysis software (HEC-HMS, Pond Pack, CivilStorm, HY-8) 
  • The ability to prepare riverine flooding analysis, prepare FEMA map revision packages, as well as previous experience with stream/wetland restoration projects and utilize HEC-RAS.
Responsibilities:
  • Functions of this position may include: Hydrograph Routing, HydraFlow, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Study, CLOMR/LOMR, No-Rise
  • Design, analysis, and permitting of stormwater management facilities (BMP) for peak flow rate detention and water quality, including preparation of construction documents.
  • Analysis of open channel systems and closed conduit drainage systems

Candidates should be prepared to provide work samples and/or take a CAD test.
