Job Summary

NetApp IT supports a user community of ~ 20,000 users globally. The end user technology stack is our user community’s gateway into almost all that they do at NetApp. Having these technologies and services operate in a way that is performant, reliable, secure and efficient, and intuitively navigable is paramount. We’re user-community obsessed and we’ll always be in a cycle of iterating our way toward higher levels of user satisfaction.

This role will be responsible for Mac, Windows, and mobile fleets globally and ensuring they are patched, secure, compliant, and well managed. You will need to balance a vision for understanding the art-of-the-possible and the ability to manage the complexity of the portfolio with command of the range of technologies required to be effective in the role. This role will have responsibility for 6-8 direct and matrixed reports.

Job Requirements

  • Participate in and lead regular staff meetings with technical team, and cross-functional teams to understand functional business need, develop functional specifications, technical designs, and or workflow requirements.
  • Ensure that projects and development efforts are documented and changes are managed.
  • Supporting the user-kit loadout of a 10+K user community that is globally distributed
  • Mac and Windows fleet management at scale
  • Drive a culture of non-negotiable operational rigor
  • In partnership with Desktop Product management, discover and drive opportunities to evolve the desktop user experience
  • The Jamf and Intune platforms
  • Service as L3 / 4 escalation point for Desktop Support
  • Regulatory and standards-based audits (such as Sox, SOC I / SOC II, etc)
  • Mobile device management best practices using the Intune ecosystem
  • Global fleet patch management and compliance
  • Evolve policies and configuration across our desktop operations as well as software, application packaging and distribution, OS, BIOS and driver updates
  • Management via extensive automation
  • Global asset distribution logistics leveraging Autopilot and Apple Business
  • Microsoft 365 compliance features, capabilities, and their management
  • General familiarity with Microsoft Identity and Access Management services
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical peers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

Education

  • 5+ years of managing Microsoft systems
  • 3+ years of managing Mac / Jamf
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience with 10k+ user environments across multiple regions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area of study or equivalent professional experience
