Quality Lab Internship Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting our Lab Technicians with proper plastics material testing and data collection in order to maintain proper specifications and quality standards of materials.

• Performs quality checks on finished regrind
• Probing and sample collection
• Melt Flow testing
• Density testing
• Ash testing
• Performs quality checks and resin identification on inbound materials
• Communicates daily with leadership on all quality issues and current standard operating procedures
• Data entry - recording of all test results
• Warehousing of finished product once it has gone through the quality control process
• Live real-time sampling from the production machines
• Actively participates in Internship Program and associated events

Quality Lab Internship Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's or associates degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proficient in Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with all levels in the plant
• Teamwork attitude
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks
• Strong knowledge and understanding of all lab equipment
