Launch your career with Western Alliance Bank in our 2022 Summer Internship Program! You'll have the opportunity to work on some challenging issues and be empowered, collaborative and enjoy your passion with other talented interns. You'll gain real-life experience and explore what it's like to work as part of an organization that exemplifies people, performance and possibilities.The internship program begins June 2022 and ends August 2022 (varied depending on schedules of each intern). Over the 10-week program, you will participate in business projects, mentoring, leadership development and team building activities designed to set you up for professional success and most importantly, learn what it is like to work here at Western Alliance Bank.
You will be working with:
Financial Controls department is led by the Financial Control Director and is part of the broader Finance and Accounting organization at Western Alliance. The department reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and currently has five members with plans to grow to seven team members within the coming months. The department is responsible for the Bank's Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and FDICIA compliance which ensures that Western Alliance's financial statements issued publicly are complete and accurate.
Interns that have worked on the team in the past have assisted with internal controls testing, development of fraud assessments, and maintaining the system of record.
As an intern, you will be assigned a mentor and a real project that will benefit the bank and provide real-world experience in your specific area of study. Our Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides invaluable experiences to apply the knowledge and skills learned through your education. Qualifications:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in a College program that is in a related field of study.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
- An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry
Note: Our Paid internship experience is working on-site and alongside of the Hiring Manager and team.
