The Senior Underwriter will analyze health benefit plan characteristics through case risk evaluation, and product pricing. They will utilize established underwriting criteria and policies to provide proper rating methodologies. This Senior Underwriter will represent and negotiate fees/rates and plan options to optimize cost-competitive health benefit plans. They will utilize pricing models to assist in the economic analysis of fully insured and self-insured new business and renewal customers.

Required Qualifications:

• Equivalent work experience or Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ years experience in healthcare insurance industry
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years Underwriting experience in healthcare insurance industry
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize deliverables
• Ability to think critically and problem solve in a technical environment
• Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
• Excellent organization skills
• Detailed oriented
• Effective negotiation skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $53,300 to $95,100. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $58,800 to $104,600.
