Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician in our Assembly Operations facility. This position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Dispositions parts placed on hold following current processes and correctly records supporting details.
  • Makes consistent and principle-based decisions on inspection data and quality standards.
  • Documents and maintains all quality databases, quality drawings and parts libraries.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement and Quality Engineering led initiatives.
  • Promotes the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action implementation.
  • Maintains equipment calibration and calibration logs.
  • Review and analyze part measurement results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings, and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
  • Initiates and supports the setting specifications in cooperation with the Material Review Board, SPC Centering Process, Quality Specification Review Board, Assembly, and Engineering.
  • Mentors and trains Quality Technicians, Quality Inspectors, Processors, Operators, IPs and other staff.
  • Supports training initiatives including raising awareness of SPC, product knowledge and visual attributes.
  • Promotes proficient and accurate usage of quality tools.
  • Supports and conducts Technical audits.
  • Provides urgent Production/Operational Quality support.
  • Effectively communicates/elevates urgent Quality needs and risks.
  • Monitors production data systems for opportunities to reduce the percentage of defective parts produced.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Passion for learning and growth with a demonstrated record of self-management.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in a Quality role
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard software packages (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Works well as a team player; cooperates with others.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to make and communicate consistent and logical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Work experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Professional quality certifications (ASQ, etc.)
  • Statistical Process Control experience.
  • Plastics injection molding industry experience
  • Strong computer aptitude and Access Database experience.
  • Keyence, CMM or other measurement system expertise.
