Intralox, L.L.C. is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed individual to work as a Lead Person in its Shipping Department. As a key member of the Order Fulfillment management team, the Lead Person will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Shipping Department functions within the Order Fulfillment process.

Responsibilities:

Direct oversight of the 2nd shift Shipping department personnel which include the Staging Coordinator, Belt Rollers, Packers and the Carrier Processing group.

  • Assess ship date priority and oversee the packaging and processing of orders to ensure that they ship accurately and on time
  • Ensure that internal cut-off times as well as carrier pick-up times are met for all shipments
  • Communicate with all groups within the Order Fulfillment team as well as other departments in the organization as needed to ensure that all orders are shipped on time
  • Work with the Shipping Supervisor to achieve all productivity and operational goals
  • Manage day-to-day capacity issues among the Rollers, Packers, and Processors, and adjust accordingly
  • Foster and participate in continuous improvement programs to improve process flow within all functional areas in Shipping
  • Provide ongoing training for all employees in Shipping
  • Institutionalize safety within the workplace to achieve zero accidents and injuries
  • Promote adherence to the Laitram Business Philosophy

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with the Oracle operating system preferred
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead person position
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short and long-term goals of the department
  • High School Diploma required, some college preferred
  • Forklift experience and qualified certification preferred
