This is a three-month internship program during the summer of 2021. We can be flexible with your start and end date based on your college schedule. We want to add a team member who has the best opportunity for success with our organization. Please keep in mind this is a summary and an official job description will be provided to candidates at the time of interview. **JOB SUMMARY** Interns will work on projects designated by senior leaders to help advance our mission. This role is a support function for multiple aspects of social media and Communications strategy. This person will be responsible for assisting multiple team members, while reporting directly to the Social Media Manager and potentially interacting with SourceAmerica team members in other departments including Marketing. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** * Brainstorm campaign ideas for social media channels and provide suggestions to encourage social engagement and channel growth * Assist in compiling monthly social media analytics * Support and help manage creation of back-dated organic social content calendar * Provide suggestions and assist with social engagement and growth * Support management of the Communications editorial calendar **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE** * Completing an undergraduate degree at a four-year accredited university * SourceAmerica recognizes 1 years' experience = 1-year college, should a candidate not meet the required education **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE** * Pursuit of a degree in Communications, Social Media, Marketing, or related field * Strong writing and communications skills * Experience writing for professional and/or collegiate organization social media channels, blogs, and/or website content **OTHER REQUIREMENTS** * Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and teams across a 400+ organization with a national footprint * Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships * Passionate about SourceAmerica's mission * Strong collaboration skills and desire to grow * Strong organizational skills, creative thinking, and experience working as part of a team * Capable of working independently and solving problems under time pressure * Commitment to fulfilling SourceAmerica's mission, vision, and values * Exhibit SourceAmerica's STAR behaviors * Willingness to follow SourceAmerica's Code of Conduct ******_This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned._ Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
