Job/Internship Description
Explore the intersection of sustainability and engineering as you learn about the design, construction, and maintenance of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Over the course of 6 months, the Intern will gain hands-on, real world experience and hone career skills through direct experience in construction management, energy conservation measure design, safety and project management. The Intern will supplement their learning through self-paced online modules that will reinforce necessary skills and knowledge in energy analysis.What you'll do: Participate in field days with ENGIE staff both in the office as well as at project sites Provide project and administrative support Engage in weekly check-in with ENGIE staff (in person or via phone) Collaborate and shadow ENGIE staff engaged in the field Other duties as assigned by Manager What you bring: Must be a currently enrolled student at Howard University, enrolled in the College of Engineering and Architecture. Students must be in good standing (transcripts may be requested) Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint Strong time management skills Must be 18 years or older Must have a reliable mode of transportation to travel to and from office location, client sites and construction sites.
