MSH is a nonprofit international health organization with nearly 2,500 people from over 74 nationalities working in over 40 countries. Our mission: Saving lives and improving the health of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health. Together with our partners, we are helping managers and leaders in developing countries to create stronger management systems that improve health services for the greatest health impact.
MSH's Health Financing, Technologies, and Market Dynamics practice area is focused on helping countries and communities make evidence-informed decision-making surrounding new and existing health technologies, resource allocation, operational efficiency, and optimization. We are currently supporting Ministries of Health to generate evidence on the costs and resource gaps of providing high-quality primary health care (PHC) services to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC). As part of this work, we are developing a tool and supporting data collection and analysis to support decision-making on PHC planning, facilitate resource allocation and budgeting, and help to improve PHC system performance.

Through this internship, the student will demonstrate learning and gain skills in the following areas: analytics/assessment; policy development/ program planning; communication; cultural competency; community dimensions; public health sciences; financial planning and management skills; and leadership and systems thinking.
