Job Description
Position Purpose
To direct, supervise and manage the daily operations of staff within the Construction Staking group. This position will be expected to create and maintain excellent relationships with external clients, and will work closely with other operational groups within the firm to solve complex problems that may arise.


Essential Functions + Responsibilities
  • Direct, supervise, and manage the daily operations of staff (including Survey Techs and field crews) within the Construction Staking group
  • Ensure project schedules are viable and excellent quality is completed on all projects
  • Provide quick and workable resolutions to errors, omissions and field-dictated needs for change
  • Work closely with other operational groups within the firm to resolve complex problems and to recognize and promote opportunities to cross-sell other services offered by the firm
  • Maintain excellent communication with external clients regarding project status to perpetuate long term relationships
  • Actively pursue viable projects with existing, past, and prospective clients through positive on-going interactions with clients
  • Make recommendations to the Director of Geomatics for staffing and equipment needs
Candidates will have to successfully pass a motor vehicle records check and have a valid driver’s license.


Qualifications
  • Possess a Professional Land Surveyors License preferred
  • 7+ years of experience within the land surveying field
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience within the land surveying field
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
