Provides Engineering support to the Instant Products manufacturing team. Working with a mentor, the Engineering Co-op will manage, assist, prioritize and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining, repairing, installing, fabricating or modifying equipment and machinery in the plant.

Job Functions:
* Work with engineering team to develop technical solutions to wide array of engineering challenges
including automation, logistics, and equipment efficiency.
* Provide support and assistance for troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
* Estimate time, importance, costs and manpower requirements for completion of projects.
* Plans and oversees projects, confirms all necessary permits are obtained and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications, various codes and regulatory laws and policies.
* Suggests methods and sets goals to improve efficiencies in maintenance and production along with improvements in equipment performance and quality of product.
* Perform other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements/Qualifications:
* Pursuing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
* Late sophomore or early junior preferred.
* Minimum GPA: 2.8
* Experience with hands-on knowledge of machinery, basic electrical and electronics is helpful, with an understanding of machine control systems (PLCs).
* Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, currently and in the future without company assistance/sponsorship.

Language Skills :
* Good verbal and written communications skills.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

* Ability to work independently or in large groups.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise and backgrounds.
* Requires effective decision making, problem solving and teamwork skills.

Computer Skills :
* Basic knowledge and skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Projects, Word and Excel.
