The Seagate Consumer Solutions organization is looking for a dynamic and success driven summer intern to play key roles throughout a 12 week time period. We are looking for an intern who is detail oriented, organized and analytical to help develop and maintain processes, tools and capabilities that contribute positively to our Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) and Channel Marketing groups' productivity and efficiency. The Intern will have the opportunity to work on both tactical operating tasks as well as strategic analysis. Projects may include:

  • Pricing Analysis - Map retail pricing vs competition, assist in building outer quarter pricing plan.

  • Product Lifecycle Management - Analyze in-quarter business performance to determine the necessary tactical actions for the product. Understand the various phases of the product life cycle for the various products and assist in creating action plans based on the various phases.

  • Revenue Planning - Assist in the quarterly revenue planning process with goal of building quarter plus one revenue plan based on total available market (TAM), current quarter performance, strategic direction, etc.

  • Online Merchandising & ROI -- Audit retail product sites for branding and marketing. Analyze return on investment in terms of incremental revenue and margin of promotional events and marketing activities.

  • Cross Functional Engagement - Work cross functionally with teams in finance, operations, and sales. Assist in the development of the Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentation and analysis.

  • Public Speaking - Present a project update or business case to gain public speaking experience while learning the process of cross functional alignment

Interns typically work Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. The hours are subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other related areas.

  • Must be returning to school Fall 2019 Semester

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint; proficiency with similar Google Docs a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
