Land Planner/Landscape Architect

Job Description
We are seeking a Land Planner/Landscape Architect with 5-10 years of experience to join our Planning + Design Group located in our Durham/RTP, North Carolina office. McAdams is proud to be part of the most interesting, iconic and impactful projects in the region. Required skills and experience:
Skills: Ability to conduct due diligence/feasibility studies, generate master plans and lead entitlement efforts on a wide variety of high profile mixed-use, residential, commercial, and institutional project. This position will also require the research and interpretation of municipal ordinances, as well as interaction with clients, stakeholders, municipal reviewer and elected officials.
Communication: Excellent communication (both written and verbal) are required. A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to lead and follow as a team player are critical for success. Ability to interface with both internal staff and external clients with diplomacy is essential.
Experience: 5-10 years of working experience and professional license required.
Education: Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture, urban planning or other applicable design field from a four-year accredited program.
The successful candidate will interface with project design teams and be exposed to all facets of a project. Our work environment is both creative and dynamic so the optimal candidate will be eager to engage and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Candidates will be able to go as far as their skills, creativity and work ethic will take them.
Candidates should be prepared to bring work samples to their interview or provide beforehand electronically.
