We are currently seeking a Designer for our Water Resources & Infrastructure Group in our Durham office.
Basic qualifications:
Four year college degree in engineering with an emphasis on hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management.
Preference will be given to those applicants who have obtained an EI (and are on the PE track), have 2 or more years’ experience in water resources and environmental design experience and have utilized ESRI GIS software.
Required experience:
Ability to work in AutoCAD and familiarity with standard H&H design/analysis software (HEC-HMS, Pond Pack, CivilStorm, HY-8)
The ability to prepare riverine flooding analysis, prepare FEMA map revision packages, as well as previous experience with stream/wetland restoration projects and utilize HEC-RAS is preferred
Responsibilities:
Functions of this position may include: Hydrograph Routing, HydraFlow, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Study, CLOMR/LOMR, No-Rise
Design, analysis, and permitting of stormwater management facilities (BMP) for peak flow rate detention and water quality
Analysis of open channel systems and closed conduit drainage systems
Candidates should be prepared to provide work samples and/or take a CAD test.
