The Strategy & Analytics Consultant will be responsible for supporting each of our Supply Chain Groups in meeting their analytical, decision-making, reporting, and metrics requirements.The successful candidate will serve as an expert in translating complex data into value-adding business insights and actionable findings. This work involves discovering business narratives told by the data and presenting them to business stakeholders and Supply Chain leaders by:
Performing data exploration and data mining
Developing and testing heuristics
Creating and running analytical models
Communicating results and conclusions in both written and oral presentation formats
Creating business intelligence, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytics reports to adequately tell the business narrative and offer recommendations that are practiced, actionable, and have material impact, in addition to being well-supported by analytical models and data.
Identify unique opportunities to collect new data.
Design new processes and build large, complex data sets.
Strategize new uses for data and its interaction with data design.
Locate new data sources, analyze statistics and implement quality procedures.
Perform data studies of new and diverse data sources.
Find new uses for existing data sources.
Conduct statistical modeling and experiment design.
Test and validate predictive models.
Build web prototypes and performs data visualization.
Conduct scalable data research on and off the cloud.
Implement automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.
Design, modify and build new data processes.
Generate algorithms and create computer models.
Collaborate with database engineers and other scientists.
Implement new or enhanced software designed to access and handle data more efficiently.
Train the data services center team on new or updated procedures
Extract key observations and insights from internal and external data sources to support decision-making
Data exploration, cleansing, validation and testing in order to optimize processes and discover value
Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to deliver high quality value-adding analytics solutions
Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, creating visual displays of quantitative information
Support in the development and maintenance of automated applications, tools and processes

Basic/Required Qualifications (Senior Consultant)Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistic or related degree and 5+ years related work experience
OR High School/GED degree and 9+ years related work experience
Basic/Required Qualifications (Lead Consultant)
Masters Degree and 5+ years related work experience
OR High School/GED degree and 12+ years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or related degree
Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for numbers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to bridge the gap between data science and business management
Experience writing queries and developing data visualization tools for mining and synthesizing large datasets (e.g. Python, SQL, SAS, R, Power BI, etc.)
Demonstrated problem solving, decision making and attention to detail skills
Working knowledge of statistics, programming and predictive modeling
Previous experience working in data mining or natural language processing
Experience in leading change management and affecting positive organizational, process or culture change
Strong understanding of and ability to use programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL, SAS, R, Power BI, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership skills
Previous experience in supply chain strategy and/or analytics groups
Strong organizational and prioritization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to relate them to the products or services the company is producing
Strong knowledge of basic and advanced prediction models
Data mining knowledge that spans a range of disciplines
Strong exploratory analysis skills
Exceptional organizational skills and is detail oriented
Mastery of statistics, machine learning, algorithms and advanced mathematics
Demonstrated high proficiency developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Power Automate
Demonstrated high proficiency developing Kofax RPA solutions
In depth knowledge of data and processes related to Real Estate and Land Services
In depth knowledge of data and processes related to Supply Chain functions
Working Conditions
Virtual Mobility Classification- Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period. However, virtual employees should live within a reasonable commute to the assigned Duke Energy facility.
The assigned work location will be at one of the Duke Energy locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Florida
