ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Timely payment and collection of outstanding invoices for assigned accounts, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations.

  • This position is responsible for the collection process of web billings to ensure timely payment of relevant electronic billed invoices. The incumbent will maximize the change of 'first time right' collections and to ensure each sale is billed and collected in a timely and accurate manner.
  • This position is responsible for the submission of outstanding service and new equipment invoices through customer web-based portals.
  • This incumbent will provide the district A/R specialists with general process support.
  • This position will process credit card payments, as requested.

Effective facilitation of resolution to payment disputes, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations.

  • This position is responsible for the effective resolution of payment disputes, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations. Such resolutions will require frequent interaction with other departments, representatives, and top management.

Effective communication with internal parties to facilitate reconciliation of portal billings errors.

  • This position is responsible for reconciling billing errors through communication with the customer and the appropriate internal parties.
  • This position will pull together consolidated customer statements, as requested.
  • This position will research credit balances, upon requests of the customer. In addition, this position will process all payment adjustment requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree from a two year college or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent problem solving ability as well as excellent communication skills.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
