Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the creation, development and maintenance of day to day merchandising operational business processes to streamline communication and decision making. (30%)
  • Lead cross-functional project work by coordinating brainstorms to identify and fix process gaps across the E-commerce, Merchandise Planning and Inventory, Private Brand, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams. (20%)
  • Work with merchandising departments to provide support and coordination to ensure adoption of new systems and business processes in the environment. (15%)
  • Partner with the business information team to understand business needs and resources for systems enhancements and incorporate into overall process. (10%)
  • Ensure transparency into project progress, partnerships, prioritization, risks, and resource availability via successful communication with stakeholders, senior leadership, and project team. (5%)
  • Manage administrative duties for Microsoft Sharepoint, the merchandising team's online file collaboration platform. (5%)
  • Maintain the current category review process to ensure key milestones are met within assortment development. (5%)
  • Maintain and develop Grovesite to be a sustainable platform for project management, product development, and sourcing tool for the merchandising cross functional teams to drive transparency and accountability on projects. (5%)
  • Develop and lead trainings for new processes that are created for the Merchandising teams. (5%)

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Normally requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in merchandising, marketing, operations or related curriculum.
  • Requires a minimum of one to three years progressively responsible, professional-level merchandising experience.
  • Specific functional experience should include merchandising, inventory management, product assortment, and item set-up.
  • Must have advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and the aptitude to learn and utilize new internal applications.
