What do our Distribution Utility Specialists do?

A successful distribution utility specialist is a motivated self-starter who can work independently with a focus on results in achieving company business goals. Success includes planning, organizing & effectively communicating within the assigned distribution center to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives while developing and enhancing the customer experience within Target Specialty products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Perform daily cycle counts
• Communicates inventory discrepancies
• Aids in all areas of the Distribution functions as needed
  • Picking, Packing, Shipping, Receiving, Put-away & Quality Control
• Ensures daily checks of equipment are performed and maintenance completed as required
• Completes and adheres to all required safety training
• Report all accidents and near misses within 24hrs
• Engage in continued education opportunities
• Maintains a clean, neat and member-ready area.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What do you need?

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Forklift Certified within 30 days of Hire
• 2+ years related experience in Warehouse Distribution
• Familiarity with multiple web browsers and Google-based platform
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment
• Must pass pre-employment background screen
