The ARM Director leads and coaches a team of ARMs who provide technical coverage, coding and payment support to customers in the specialty biologics space.

The Specialty ARM Director must have:

  • Demonstrated deep technical understanding of coverage, coding, payment and distribution of specialty products and the rules and regulations that govern provision of reimbursement support.
  • Ability to hire, develop and lead a team of ARMs to effectively engage customers to understand key coverage, coding, payment, product acquisition and affordability dynamics for GSK specialty products in their local geography.
  • Ability to provide management oversight and training to their team to ensure that all team members are in compliance with the GSK ARM Standard and ARM Ways.
  • Ability to effectively lead across a team of internal Matrix stakeholders including Field Sales, Payer Marketing, Access Support Services, Payer Accounts and Channel Accounts.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Inspire and lead a team of ARMs to deliver effective reimbursement support for appropriate patients.
  • Ensure team compliance with the GSK ARM Standard, ARM Ways, and relevant rules and regulations that govern provision of reimbursement support services.
  • Coach the team to ensure maximum performance in expediting patient access.
  • Pull-through key access and affordability messages and strategies developed by the Brand Payer & Access Marketing Team (Payer Marketing)
  • Train team members on key technical information related to coverage, coding, payment and affordability.
  • Identify gaps in ARM capabilities and work with the ARM Field Vice President and Sales & Marketing Excellence Team to address gaps.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across the West Region (CA, WA, OR, UT, MT, ID, WY, CO, ND, MN, AZ, NV, AK, HI)
  • Live within or near the region with access to a major airport.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with specialty biologic medicines that includes a deep understanding of the access & reimbursement landscape; including education around coverage, coding and payment information with providers.
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a first line team leader with demonstrated success in team coaching, capability development, and people development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a field reimbursement manager.
  • Cross functional experience in leading training, access marketing, operations, and/or payer projects
  • Strong understanding of third-party reimbursement support service vendors and how to effectively interact in a compliant fashion.
  • Thorough understanding of the technical payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage, coding and payment for specialty biologics medicines
  • Master's Degree in Public Health or Health Administration.

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $169,150 to $228,850 taking into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
