Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
The Packaging and Assembly Technician will be responsible for all inbound and outbound materials, equipment, parts, tools, etc. and any documentation associated with the items. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Packaging
    • Examineinbound and outboundshipmentfor correct item, quantity, and condition.
    • Comparerecords, such asbill of lading, packing slip, purchase order, and sales orderto verify accuracy.
    • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
    • Appropriatelypackage,seal and accuratelylabel materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter where required.
    • Prepare shipment contents perwork order or otherdocumentation ensuring accurateitems &quantity, address, shipping method, etc.
    • Confer or correspond withvendoror customer representatives toprovide shipping information.Report problemssuch asdamage, shortages, nonconformance to specifications, etc.
  • Assembly
    • Assemble parts for fabricationprior to shipping orplacing themininventory.
      • Clean, prep, paint, stamp, or assemble sub-components into largercomponents.
      • Perform quality checks and conduct final inspections prior to shipping parts.
  • Keep designated Shipping & Receiving area clean.
    • Capable and willing to supportoperations includingsupportingmanufacturing personnel.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Associate degreepreferred
  • Forklift Certified orForkliftexperience preferred
  • Ability to work without direction and retain prior instruction
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to operate and maneuver materials by hand, pallet jack, or other material handling tools
  • Must have general PC skills including email, internet,anddata entrywith working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer
  • Must have a valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 75 lbs. in weight
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to perform manual labor for up to10 hoursor more hours per day
  • Acute hearing and strong field of visionto accurately follow written and verbal direction
