The Finance and Business (F&B) Department provides business, fiscal, and budget management for the Libraries. This includes closely monitoring the Libraries' annual budget and overseeing the library's accounting activities. In addition to these broad responsibilities, the department handles travel (authorizations and reimbursements), PCard purchasing and reconciling, other procurement activities, contracts, pre- and post-grant awards, and Marketplace orders as well as many other financial functions. |
Essential Job Duties | As the Libraries Accounting Technician you will be responsible for monitoring and managing several accounts within the Libraries' $40M budget. In this role your primary purpose is to perform advanced technical accounting work for NC State University Libraries. The Libraries Accounting Technician will be independently responsible for financial transactions across a variety of programmatic areas, including travel, PCard expenses, service unit billing, and interdepartmental transactions.
