POSITION AVAILABLE: HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR to join our team at OTTO!
JOB SUMMARY: This role will help us keep our Charlotte plastic injection molding manufacturing plant running at optimum performance; as well as our off-site container management service locations, by helping to staff our team with the best matched talent available while leading the team in efforts to maintain positive employee morale to ensure OTTO continues to be a great place to work. This role with help keep all of our employees engaged, informed, and excited to be on the OTTO team.
Staffing:
  • Partner with the Plant & Production Manager and Supervisors with recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining good relations with all OTTO team employees.
  • Work closely with our staffing agency partners to ensure we have a consistent workforce in place to meet the needs of our customers to produce quality products, on time, every time.
  • Temporary labor management includes processing weekly time sheets, track temporary labor hours, processing invoices for payment, monitor temp progress with respect to eligibility to meet the terms for "temp to hire" requirements.
  • Facilitate New Hire paperwork, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Monitor employee time and attendance (both full time and temporary staffing); assist with coaching for improvement as needed.
  • Partner with our Container Services management team to assist in the recruiting and staffing for our off-site Container Management and Service locations; working closely with the team to ensure our customer service agreements are met for employee headcount for each customer location.
  • Lead employee appreciation and recognition activities (parties, events, lunches, awards, etc.) to promote employee morale and retention efforts.
  • Assist or conduct New Hire Orientations to include company policies and procedures, employee handbook, attendance policy, schedules, company communications, safety in the workplace, benefits overview, pay process, time clocks, break times and more.
Record Keeping:
  • Create and maintain new personnel files and confidentiality.
  • Maintain communication and documentation for employee records.
  • Assist in the filing and maintenance of all documents, forms and records in employee personnel files.
  • Maintenance of training documents and confirmations in personnel records.
Employee Relations:
  • Lead and/or assist in all company activities to ensure positive employee morale and overall employment satisfaction.
  • Keep Managers/Supervisors informed concerning attendance, performance evaluations, birthdays, events, employee anniversaries, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews as needed.
Generalist Duties:
  • Under the direction of Sr Manager of HR assist in driving all company communications, directives, initiatives, programs and policies.
  • Ensure all employees are following the direction, guidelines, processes and policies that are provided in the Employee Handbook.
  • Complete EEO reporting and Affirmative Action Plans
  • Assist Payroll & Benefits Administrator with all communication, documentation, implementation of all employee payroll and benefits information.
  • Assist in supporting all initiatives for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
  • General reporting relative to HR, Staffing and Operations as needed.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the Sr. Manager of Human Resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or Business preferred. (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • At least 3 years or more experience in Human Resources; with at least 2 years or more experience in HR and staffing for industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in utilizing an HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience with utilizing web services and selected social media sites for purposes of recruiting, learning and maintaining up-to-date with related HR, business and current events.
  • HR Assistant and Coordinator experience preferred.
