You will monitor warehouse inventory, performing cycle counting duties, physical inventory duties, and transaction audits to ensure that all materials are verified to be reflective of reported inventory.

You Will:
  • Conduct daily cycle counts as directed by performing physical inventory counts utilizing various counting methods and tools to ensure precision and efficiency.

Safely handle materials in and out of fixed rack locations, floor locations, trailers, and other locations as needed.

  • Safely operate powered equipment and other material handling equipment
  • Research and Reconciliation of inventory counts by analyzing system-generated inventory data.
  • Identify underlying reasons for count discrepancies (e.g., unrecorded materials pulled by the line or material handler, errors in material transfers, inaccuracies in bill of materials) and engage with the other departments to address the issue and prevent further occurrences.
  • Input validated cycle count adjustments into the ERP system.
  • Analyze count discrepancies independently performing root cause analysis and report relevant data analysis to guide corrective actions plans.
  • Help prepare for and implementing annual physical inventory audits.
  • Compile comprehensive reports on inventory adjustments and other pertinent data as requested by Accounting, Material Planners, Supply Chain.
  • Investigate causes of disparities between computerized records and physical counts, such as data input mistakes, or worker oversights when removing inventory without documentation.
  • Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel about part descriptions, BOM, and routings.
  • Search and correct location discrepancies
  • Monitor the placement of all goods (Raw, WIP, Finished, Scrap)
  • Notify Materials Manager of any discrepancies found during the counts.
  • Ensure labeling of inventory items/locations are correct.
  • Perform several duties throughout the department to expedite pulling orders and shipping finished goods, maintaining quality standards
  • Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Clean immediate work area and ensure strict organization of all racks
  • Other duties as assigned.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of related inventory control/accounting experience or an Associates Degree.
  • Knowledge of computer terminals and proficiency in Excel spreadsheets with the ability to create reports.
  • Math and communication skills
  • Forklift license or the ability to pass training to receive license.
  • The ability to work overtime and some weekends with short notice.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
