Your missions :

Location: Durham, NC

This position is responsible for the quality assurance of incoming finished products and intermediates at the Ceva Pet Retail Warehouse (Durham NC). Incumbents will have the responsibility for ensuring that incoming materials are inspected for damage, correctness and meets all specifications in compliance to regulations and Ceva procedures.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

The Quality Inspector will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

* Inspection of incoming materials to ensure it meets specifications and evaluate release / reject disposition

* Physically examine material and review documentation to ensure compliance with SOPs and product specifications

* Complete applicable GMP documentation relating to release/quarantine/reject of materials

* Update disposition of incoming goods in the ERP system

* Write/review procedures to manage the Quality Inspection process

* Track quality metrics to monitor performance of suppliers and inspection operations

* Inspect returned product and assist in the investigation/disposition of returned product

* Prepare/review GMP documentation pertaining to material rework and specifications

* Act as the site quality representative during audits/regulatory inspections

* Organize, conduct and record training for Warehouse personnel

Technical / Functional Competencies:

* Able to review incoming test results and interpret results

* Manage inventory in JDE (i.e.- release/quarantine/reject material)

* Able to write/review GMP documentation

* Able to use various IT software to record and report on inventory (MicroSoft suite, JDE)

* Have strong problem-solving skills and ability to use multiple different problem-solving tools depending on the issue at hand

* Ability to work in a highly demanding environment with many people giving direction outside of the hierarchical structure

* Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities based on multiple directives but utilizing the overall goals and objectives of the organization

* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written and use different forms of technology appropriately to communicate

* Self-starter - must be willing and able to take initiative to continuously improve Ceva's processes and procedures for ensuring the safety and security of our product inventory

* Must be a team player - can work effectively within a team and as a quality consultant to the team

* Must be highly organized and utilize 5S principles of Lean to maintain area of responsibility

* Have a positive attitude which is displayed in ability to be flexible and adapt when necessary while still maintaining tight control of working area

Qualifications:

Work Experience - 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance roles

Other (consider certifications, specialized knowledge and/or training, etc.) -

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to read, write legibly and communicate in English

* Visual inspection

* Position will require bending, twisting, lifting, standing about 70% of the time in order to inspect materials

Working Conditions:

* Walking on concrete floors daily and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
