About the Team/Role: Our ideal candidate will act as the "voice of the customer" in everything they do. This role requires you to dig into our market and have a knack for partnering with stakeholders i.e., Product Owners, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to understand and communicate the value of new product developments and existing product benefits to our customers. You will connect the dots between company objectives, market and competitor research, and (Fleet/Mobility, Benefits, Payments) trends to help guide product innovations and help define or lead the go-to-market strategy for these lines of business product sets. You will lead sales enablement activities to support the sales cycle and ensure alignment of marketing activities with the organization's product goals.

A seasoned, experienced professional, fluent in product marketing practices with a full understanding of the area(s) of specialization and company-specific product marketing processes; seeks and creates improvements and resolves a wide range of issues creatively.

How you will make an impact

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors; plans and executes projects/plans per pre-established strategy. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Coordinates/networks with key stakeholders, and senior internal and external personnel in their area of expertise. Makes adjustments to hit objectives, effectively influencing others to achieve objectives through strong communication and relationships. Proactively identifies solutions.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, sales, etc.) to plan, prepare, and execute effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies that support innovative new product launches and product enhancement rollouts

  • Effectively develop and deliver the necessary product content and sales enablement material to arm our sales and marketing teams with the tools they need

  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure execution of all GTM elements are aligned with marketing and communication activities for timely execution and to meet business objectives

  • Architect compelling messaging and positioning to highlight our key differentiators and ensure accuracy, consistency, and continuity across all content

  • Define and articulate product positioning and messaging plans for various target audiences via a product playbook to facilitate the customers' understanding of new products/features and their corresponding value to help promote usage/adoption

  • Distill complex information into compelling content aimed at target audiences

  • Stay apprised of competitive activity and operationalize competitive intel (i.e. research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis) for sales optimization

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to drive and stay close to product enhancements

  • Act as the "voice of the customer" and subject matter expert for market intel and product value

  • Other activities as required

Experience you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent product marketing (or related) experience with emphasis on developing and executing strong go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches

  • High degree of proficiency/proven expertise with advanced product marketing tools/concepts/processes

  • Ability to understand broader business. Excellent collaborator, a self-starter who effectively influences others to achieve objectives through strong communication and relationships. Seeks opportunities to learn and teach/coach/mentor

  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to handle competing priorities while managing multiple projects

  • Ability to work both independently (receiving little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments under some supervision from the manager) and as part of a team

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong project management skills, well organized, and pays attention to detail

  • Adapts to changing business needs

  • Google Suite and AI experience

  • Some travel may be required

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $93,000.00 - $123,000.00
