As the Senior Sales Director, Risk Management you will be responsible for demonstrating strong leadership skills, rigorous management of activities and accountability for plan achievement. As a senior leader of the sales management team, you will lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives accountable for helping our existing customers understand the value of our NAVEX Risk solutions and services. You will also develop and implement a strategic business plan and direct sales forecasting activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement a global strategic sales plan to continually achieve or exceed targeted business objectives

  • Drive aggressive cross-sell revenue growth in the existing customer base across all vertical markets

  • Work effectively with peers across the business to secure new revenue into existing accounts

  • Travel to customer locations to support securing the business

  • Review market analysis with each Account Executive to ensure an understanding of the territory

  • Provide accurate and timely territory plans and pipeline forecasts to senior sales management

  • Represent customer, market, and business issues back to senior sales management

  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition

  • Work closely with marketing management to help develop strategies that supply targeted vertical markets with appropriate programs, materials, and awareness tactics

  • Attend initial in-person 1-week intensive training and on-going virtual weekly product trainings to stay well informed on industry trends and up to date on NAVEX's always evolving solutions

  • Drive balance execution with both tactical and strategic opportunities

Leading and Developing a High Performing Team:

  • Continuously lead, build, coach and inspire diverse staff with the goal of ongoing individual improvement and retention, establishing a culture that encourages and motivates members to achieve their maximum potential

  • Provide clear individual and team goals that ensure each team member understands their role in the success of NAVEX; make changes when necessary and proactively address performance issues

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor's degree and prior work-related experience or equivalent selling to Compliance, Legal & Risk departments

  • 10+ years of successful mid-market and enterprise sales experience (2,000+ employee headcount) in the software industry and

  • 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience

  • Strong business management skills and a track record of understanding a sales consulting methodology, such as strategic selling, Miller Heiman, Solution Selling, SPIN or Challenger

  • Significant experience with one or more vertical industry markets and experience in positioning products and services to match customer needs

  • The ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficiency with CRM usage (Salesforce.com a plus)

  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills to influence others based on your credibility and shared respect and strategic planning experience

  • Quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting

  • A proven track record in developing and leading successful sales teams, including managing underperformance in any sales discipline and strong quantitative analytical skills for pipeline management and forecasting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds

  • Each team member is required to have a career plan in place and reviewed with their manager after six months with our team.

  • The starting pay for this role is $145,000 per annum and the target variable pay for this role is $145,000. Target variable pay is based on individual achievement factors and is not guaranteed.

  • Pay progression is based on performance.
