RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS), a business unit of RTI International, is an independent and internationally recognized research organization. We provide healthcare consulting and research expertise to optimize decision-making for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device products across the development and marketing life cycle. Clients rely on our expertise, quality standards, and integrity to guide their product development and regulatory and market access strategies. Our service groupings include Value, Access, and HEOR; Patient-Centered and Outcomes Research; Epidemiology and Biostatistics; Medical Communications; Global Business Operations; and Strategic Consulting and Growth. RTI-HS has office locations in the US, UK, Spain, France, and Sweden.

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking to add a Senior Vice President, Strategic Consulting and Growth to lead a team that includes Business Development, Marketing and Communications, and Integrated Evidence Strategy. The role will be tasked with developing strategic plans, identifying opportunities for expansion, optimizing strategic partnering with our clients, and enhancing organizational performance.

The Strategic Consulting and Growth team will play a vital role in helping RTI-HS adapt to evolving market dynamics, capitalize on growth opportunities, and achieve sustainable competitive advantages to achieve long-term success.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the Strategic Consulting and Growth service grouping within RTI-HS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and growth initiatives. You will lead RTI-HS strategic planning efforts, ensuring that the Strategic Consulting and Growth service grouping is positioned to support organizational strategies and long-term growth plans.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Driving business development initiatives to identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and expand the client base; leading efforts to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives; providing strategic guidance and support to clients, leveraging insights and expertise to drive value-added solutions, and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, including other departments within RTI-HS, as well as external partners, to support research and consulting projects and initiatives; fostering cross-functional collaboration and delivering on the promise of science for global good, aligned with our organizational success.
  • Conducting market analysis and research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the healthcare industry; developing strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive growth.
  • Engaging in organization-wide strategic planning and aligning service group to strategy and growth plans
  • Identifying and evaluating potential strategic partnerships
  • Managing financial performance for the Strategic Consulting and Growth service group
  • Allocating resources effectively to support ongoing projects.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Strategic Consulting and Growth team, fostering a culture of excellence, flexibility, innovation, and collaboration
  • Supporting the professional development and career progression of team members
  • Representing RTI-HS and the Strategic Consulting and Growth team at industry conferences, meetings, and events
  • Serving as a thought leader and subject matter expert; contributing to industry discussions and thought-leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 20 years of directly related experience, Master's degree and 16 years of directly related experience, or PhD and 12 years of directly related experience
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration and teamwork
  • Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating growth and change effectively, providing a compelling vision for greater client-centricity, and preparing and supporting those affected by change.
  • Extensive external global network across the pharma and healthcare industries
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally as needed.

Equal Pay Act Minimum/Range

$275,000.00-$325,000.00
