Job Description |
ECU Department of Campus Living is currently seeking Camps & Conference Service Managers. The Camps & Conference Service Manager- is a part-time position during the summer with responsibilities that work with and support students and on-campus guests at East Carolina University. This position works very closely with the Associate Director of Summer Camps & Conferences. Applicants who demonstrate the following skills will be successful within this role. * Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) * Critical thinking skills including the ability to problem solve and follow through with timely solutions * Ability to work independently and within a team * Enthusiasm and positive attitude * Ensue your appearance and attire is professional * The CA Manager is expected to fulfill the following general roles and responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service to camp and conference guests at East Carolina University * Assist with training conference assistant staff * Prepare keys and program fobs for guests * Be available to handle reprogramming of any fobs that arise throughout the summer * Complete and maintain Room Condition Reports (RCR) and common area inventories after reach conference leaves * Ensure key inventory prepared for summer guests * Serve as a point of contact on site for camps as they check-in * Inform Associate Director of missing keys or access cards * Perform summer camp and conference check-in and check-out duties * Manage rosters for guests using Iris and Microsoft Teams * Ensure rosters are updated with emergency contact information * Manage Iris software to track damages, lost keys, and other details important to camp and conferences * Inform Associate Director of missing keys or access cards * Communicate with Associate Director after each camp & conference leaves to ensure keys are returned * Test keys and fobs at the beginning of each camp/conference * Report and follow-up on maintenance and housekeeping concerns as needed * Serve as positive University representatives on and off campus as well as online * Participate in departmental initiatives * Understand and enforce University policies and procedures appropriately * Other duties as assigned * Have close attention to detail * Work ahead and independently * Be organized as you may have many keys out at a time for several groups coming in at the same time As a result of being a student employee within the Division of Student Affairs, students will have the opportunity to gain the following competencies based on NACE Top Eleven Skills Employers Seek and CAS Learning Domains: * Effective Communication * Accountability/Integrity * Professionalism * Problem Solving/Effective Reasoning * Initiative * Teamwork * Adaptability/Resiliency * Organization/ Planning |
