The Surgical Equipment Repair Coordinator oversees the training, development and growth of technicians. They maintain awareness and quality of daily operational needs within the department.

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Motivate and guide employees to meet departmental goals.
  • Provide support to technicians by identifying problems and guiding them through corrective steps.
  • Oversee repairs and quality measures.
  • Communicate with customer service.
  • Receive and verify instruments from Carriers and prepare them for shipping processing.
  • Document testing, maintenance, parts, and repairs.
  • Maintain work area in good condition and to meet Visual Workplace (VWP) Standards.
  • Discuss repair order problems with team to define assignments based on priority and personnel.
  • Dedicate up to 50% of time to equipment repair.
  • Manage up to 15 direct reports.
  • Human Resources responsibilities, such career development, timecard & time off review and approval, employee performance reviews, etc.

What You Will Need for This Role

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Quality, Coordination, Supervision or related area.
  • The ability to temporarily fill in for Supervisor when needed.
  • The ability to participate in mandatory and voluntary overtime schedules.
  • Enhanced knowledge of repairs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • The ability to maintain operations within quality standards.
  • Enhanced knowledge of vendors used and vendors in marketplace.
  • Full profitability awareness and performance.
  • The ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop often.
