Advisian is a leading provider of Liability Management, Decommissioning & Restoration services for the resources and energy sectors. We provide leading contaminated land assessment, ecological and human health risk assessment, remediation design and construction support, surface reclamation, waste stream studies and waste facility siting, and decommissioning expertise to our clients

We have an opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be a core member of our team. You will work with the Vice President - Liability Management, Decommissioning & Restoration and colleagues to both help grow and respond to project opportunities across the U.S. and to help implement our strategy across our business. You will be in at the beginning of project opportunities and help grow them into long term projects and client relationships based on top-class understanding of the regulatory environment, and our network of new and existing clients. Our initial focus in the U.S. is on energy transition, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, refining and chemicals, but we support the broader Advisian client base as well.

This new and exciting opportunity will report to the Vice President - Liability Management, Decommissioning & Restoration.

Overall Responsibilities

The key accountabilities for the Principal Remediation Specialist role within the Liability Management, Decommissioning & Restoration (LMD&R) Service Line include:

* lead the continued growth of our Service Line by further expanding the size and capabilities of our U.S. based team;

* work with global business leaders, managing consultants, other parts of the business, and a wide range of contractors & subject matter experts (SMEs) to connect LMD&R capabilities inside and outside the business;

* build key client relationships in U.S. that support the overall Advisian strategy;

* focus on managing project execution and supporting technical excellence;

* provide team and safety leadership to deliver the vision of zero harm and ensure compliance with corporate management systems; and

* maintain accountability for the profitable (meets as-sold) and successful delivery of projects within the service line.

Qualifications and Experience

The required qualifications and experience for the Principal Remediation Specialist role within LMD&R Service Line include:

* relevant Science, Engineering, Business or Industry-related degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years of related experience;

* experience presenting group capabilities to internal and external clients;

* ability to foster collaboration across the practice as well as other parts of Advisian and Worley;

* significant experience leading and contributing to project proposals;

* ability to travel regionally and across North America (as needed) to represent Advisian and/or the broader Worley organization in sales pursuits and to support teams/projects;

* management, leadership and planning experience related to remediation projects at large industrial facilities, including field experience and contractor management;

* communication skills to liaise effectively with client teams, environmental technical experts and project staff to ensure project solutions are appropriately tailored to the client's objectives;

* technical skills to review reports and design drawings, and provide mentorship and career development opportunities for staff;

* ability to solve difficult technical and regulatory challenges and present solutions to clients/regulators; and

* experience in setting and meeting agreed upon budget targets and other key metrics.
