Job summary
The incumbent will have Operation Excellence / Lean Six Sigma expertise and ideally manufacturing, process development and/or new technology introduction experience. The incumbent will support and manage key Manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives and high-value cross-functional projects. Incumbent will actively manage several projects concurrently.
Job Responsibilities Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited:
Establish continuous improvement business process and maintain project portfolio for the Operations Improvement group.
Support implementation of projects supporting Manufacturing short and long-range plans, policies, programs and objectives.
Identify/Evaluate/Implement/Monitor/Escalate key operational business processes and risks.
Apply systematic project management fundamentals ensuring successful project planning, implementation and control where appropriate. Example: Piloting of Lean Six Sigma projects.
Act as a change agent for cultural adoption of continuous improvement across Operations.
Implement a “grass roots” project portal and governance process.
Leverage ability to influence others to make solid decisions to benefit the whole of Operations. Communicate frequently and effectively.
Support new manufacturing technology introduction, operations modeling and risk management activities where requested.
Manage and develop peers to increase knowledge and awareness about LEAN 6 Sigma philosophy and tools to coach and mentor teams to support them through the same objective.
Effectively manages assigned projects including adherence to scope, schedule, quality, budget and overall project compliance.
Develops/Supports departmental metrics
Establishes/Improves OI Business Process
Identifies areas for continuous improvement across Operations and communicates opportunities
Train area personnel in one or more areas of expertise including advanced skills.
Manage staff, when required
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of B.S./B.A. degree and at least 7 years of experience; Masters degreed preferred
Lean Six Sigma certification, or similar, preferred
Interpersonal Savvy/ Respect for Others???????
Experience in single-use platform technology is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Upstream/Downstream fundamentals and unit operations is preferred
