If you're 55 or over and meet the income guidelines, we can help you enter-or re-enter-the job market. Your job is to get a job. SCSEP's job is to help you. |

Bethlehem Center of Charlotte Founded by United Methodist Women in 1940, the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte is part of the National Mission Institutions related to the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. In 1956, after Charlotte's Urban Renewal Program, Bethlehem Center was relocated in the "fragile" neighborhoods of Southside, Brookhill, and Wilmore where it continues to provide quality child enrichment activities for school age children and youth and strives to develop innovative programs to improve the quality of life for at-risk families. |

BRIDGE Jobs Program The BRIDGE Jobs Program is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting high school dropouts, the unemployed and underemployed citizens of Mecklenburg County obtain and sustain long-term, career-enhancing employment by providing career counseling and support as they complete their education. The program provides a variety of support services. These services include educational assistance and referral, personal and family counseling, life skills classes, job readiness training, internships, job placement services and financial support for completing education. |

Community Culinary School of Charlotte CCSC has gained national attention for its success in helping people who have experianced barriers to employment. By preparing nutritious meals for the homebound, students learn the skills necessary for an exciting career in the world of foodservice. Graduates find employment with local restaurants, hospital cafes, assisted living centers and country clubs, which makes CCSC an effective way to fill some of the 8,000 foodservice positions open in Charlotte. |

FaithAction International House Our mission is to form a united community of many cultures. Through our Immigrant Assistance Center we help new neighbors solve problems that result from language or cultural differences. At the International House itself, we provide immigrants a gathering place and technical assistance for the formation of mutual assistance associations. Our educational programs provide cross-cultural training for hundreds of public servants throughout the state each year. We help community members understand, respect, and welcome our new neighbors whether from across the country or around the world. |

Jacob's Ladder Job Center At Jacob's Ladder Job Center, Inc., our mission is to help unemployed and underemployed people find and keep living wage jobs. Since 1998, Jacob's Ladder has helped hundreds of individuals make positive changes in their lives. Our clients go through a four-step process to help them find jobs. Volunteers help them through the process and continue to support them after they obtain jobs. We also work with employers to hire our clients, who often face major barriers to employment. |

North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services - Senior Community Service Employment Program If you are 55 years or older and economically disadvantaged, the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is available to you through the Division of Aging and Adult Services and other agencies in North Carolina. The Senior Community Service Employment Program, funded through Title V of the Older Americans Act, places individuals 55 and older who are economically disadvantaged into useful part-time community service programs while helping them transition into unsubsidized employment. |

The basic goal for women offenders and ultimately their children is to offer a lifestyle that includes drug abstinence, elimination of anti-social (criminal) behavior, development of employable skills, and the acquisition of positive attitudes, beliefs and behaviors which reflect honesty, respect, non-violence and self-reliance. In addition, Summit House strives to maximize healthy bonding between the mothers and children in the program. |

Uptown Shelter Welcome to the Uptown Shelter, Charlotte's only permanent year-round shelter for homeless men. Homeless adult men who are clean and sober and able to take care of their personal needs are eligible for admission to our program. Last year, we served 2,560 homeless men, connecting them with services they needed to rebuild their lives. |

Our commitment is to the poor, the homeless and others in need. Our goal is to address their needs with love, compassion and tangible help by providing the services listed below. The Urban Ministry Center serves as a community resource for the study and discussion of urban issues. |
