Responsibilities

The Residential Programs Director oversees the coordination and administration of the program including staffing to provide adequate supervision of clients, maintaining a safe environment for clients, and implementation of the program schedule. Works in collaboration with the Executive and Clinical Directors to ensure the program operations are in compliance with Newport Healthcare's policies and procedures, standardized practices, licensing regulations, and Joint Commission requirements, as well as aligned with the Newport brand and clinical model.

Essential Duties:

    Manage a team of Residential Managers and Supervisors including providing individual supervision, team meetings, coaching and development, and ongoing feedback.
  • Participate in key meetings including weekly leadership meetings, treatment team, sync and flash meetings.
  • Maintain Environment of Care (EOC) through monthly walkthroughs and QA checks and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to hire qualified residential staff and ensure all program staff are oriented to the Newport clinical model, the organizations' policies, and procedures, and provide ongoing training and support to staff.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities, including staffing ratios on all shifts, and take appropriate action to control the risks.
  • Audit program staff documentation on an ongoing basis and ensure compliance to established documentation standards.
  • Monitor employee overtime hours and ensure compliance to timekeeping protocols and practices.
  • Implement forms and records provided by the Compliance team to document program activities.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Leadership support required for tours, intake, and family contact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in residential treatment programs required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program management including client groups.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving the company's vehicles.
  • Must become CPR certified within first 30 days.
