Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager OR Field Supervisor
Our Team:
Stewart's Geomatics group captures, processes, and delivers spatially acquired data in a wide variety of avenues to include traditional land surveying, global positioning systems, laser scanning and unmanned aerial systems (drones). This information can be presented through traditional CAD drawings, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D models, photography, videography, or combination thereof. Stewart is looking for either a SUE Project Manager or Supervisor (based on years of experience). This exciting role is responsible for planning, conducting, and directing work of one or more projects within the SUE vertical of the Geomatics practice. Position Responsibilities:
- Manage SUE projects from end to end, while remaining profitable, on-schedule, and within budget constraints.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring ongoing communication about project scope and delivery.
- Work on many different types of surveys including but not limited to Boundary, ALTA, Topographical, Construction, and others.
- Work in teams and individually to manage aspects of the typical survey projects, including project schedules, goals, and directing efforts of our field crews and technicians.
- Oversee the preparation of maps and plats, legal descriptions and all other deliverables while directing field work and associated quality reviews throughout the project delivery process.
- Mentor less experienced staff and assist practice leaders with training needs.
Position Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent required, bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
- SUE Project Manager: 8 years of relevant experience required, including 5 years of SUE fieldwork experience and 3 years of experience with oversight of field crews, and assisting in managing projects.
- SUE Field Supervisor: 3 years of underground utility locating experience, required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.
Nice to Have
- Completed Advanced Utility Locating Training Course, preferred.
- Understanding and knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering and associated equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and professional standards preferred.
- Understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures preferred.
- Experience with Electromagnetic Locating Equipment, Ground Penetrating Radar, Vacuum Excavation, preferred.
- Basic AutoCAD and MicroStation skills preferred.
- Basic Smartsheet and Deltek Vision skills preferred.
