Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

CAE, the world leader in aviation training is seeking a FAA Training Administrator to join our team at our Phoenix Aviation Academy in Mesa, AZ.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule and maintain DPE Check Ride Schedule
  • Tracking initial and recurrent training requirements for employees per the FAA approved training program to ensure compliance at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by the FAA Training Manager and Head of Operations.
  • Create and maintain reports as needed by the training managers and flight leads.
  • Neatly maintains training records in a format acceptable to the FAA.
  • Maintains training software configuration, correcting errors as they are brought forward.
  • Works with subject matter experts to create robust training material in the form of visual aids, handouts/reference material, quizzes, etc.
  • Enter FAA Instructor time off into ETA.

Key Processes:

  • 14 CFR Part 141 records compliance
  • Creating and maintaining reports
  • Maintaining ETA

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have firm experience with creating reports, Microsoft Power BI experience a plus.
  • Must possess good public speaking skills.
  • Well organized and able to communicate with multiple stake-holders.

Education Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Aviation is a plus.

  • Must be able to map and document processes.
  • Solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

Judgement and Decisions:

  • Decisions are made by reviewing data compiled by following documented procedures or by consultation with subject matter experts.

Geographical Coverage:

  • Falcon Field Airport Mesa, AZ

Contacts and Communications:
  • Frequent Communication internally within the company with a single department
  • Occasional External Communication with vendors.

Mobility:

  • Ability to walk, bend, sit, stand and lift up to 30 pounds.

Language Skills:
  • English required
