The Position

Lumos is looking for a full-time Recruiter! We need a recruiter who's excited for a high-volume experience, ready to help us grow, and ready to recommend process changes that ensure we're harnessing our technology to the best of our ability while broadening our scope to find qualified candidates.

The Recruiter supports leaders by researching, developing, and implementing effective strategies that attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent. Mindful of Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and DEI&B goals, ensures job opportunities reach the widest array of qualified candidates. Collaborates with hiring managers to scope positions, provides regular updates on their progress and the effectiveness of approach, and shepherds leaders through the full-cycle recruiting process. Keeps cadence with benchmarks relative to a variety of metrics including Time -to- Fill and Candidate Experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Works with hiring managers to scope jobs, understand exactly what they're looking for, and finalize position descriptions in collaboration with HR colleagues.
  • Successfully translate managers' needs into a marketing approach that posts assigned requisitions across multiple sites, screens resumes, and performs initial phone screening of candidates, recommending qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Facilitates the interview process, using automation tools to schedule phone screens and interviews, as well as attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and other HR colleagues during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Utilize systems and work with HR colleagues to present metrics on the effectiveness of different approaches to attract candidates and the progress at each stage of the cycle.
  • Recommend changes to approach and recruiting cycle as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • AIRS or SHRM Certifications preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and implementing sourcing strategies for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, and best practices in hiring.
  • Ability to coach hiring managers on the nuances of hiring laws and interview best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS (preferably Dayforce).
