IntraHealth International is now seeking a Global Programs Officer to join our Center for Impact and Growth, supporting francophone regions. In this entry level role, you will support our senior program managers and in-country teams in ensuring high-quality program delivery and adherence to organizational and donor requirements by supporting both technical and program deliverables.

This position can be based out of our headquarters in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, or remotely within the eastern US time zone.

Duties include:

Project Support:

  • Support the senior program manager in bringing together country-based project teams and appropriate HQ departments to ensure excellence throughout project life cycle.
  • Prepare and/or review project contract documents as requested; support the creation of systems to help manage subcontracts and sub grants.

  • Work closely with finance teams to develop, monitor, track and analyze expenditures compared to project budget, including invoice review and preparation of payment requests.

  • Support country teams in coordinating technical assistance that is responsive and of high-quality through development of scopes of work, consultant agreements, and coordination of logistics.

  • Assist senior program officer and in-country staff with development of annual workplans and budgets that are feasible, responsive to local needs, reasonable in cost, and deliver sustainable results.

  • Contribute to program visibility efforts through editing and formatting of products for IntraHealth's various social media channels detailing project innovations, results and impact.

New Business Support:

  • Support cost application development through verification of local costs, development of activity budgets, and management of consortium partner cost applications, while ensuring budgets are aligned with technical application.

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in public health, international health, or a related field required.
  • Fluency in French and English reading, writing and speaking required.
  • At least two years of relevant project/program administrative experience preferred.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in an international setting, ideally in the international public health field required.
  • Working knowledge of finance, administration, and management, developing and tracking budgets, logistics, and operations required.
  • Experience supporting programs funded by international donors including USG, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and other non-USG donors is preferred.
  • General knowledge of international health program areas (e.g., MNCH/FP, HIV/AIDS, HRH, integrated health) preferred.
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $51,000 - $79,000 per year.

Exact compensation may vary based on experience, education, training, skill level and market conditions.
