PAY RANGE = $23.51/hr. to $36.17/hr.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Production Control Planner 2 is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the production process to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. This position works closely with production managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure that production schedules are executed effectively and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors and managers to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and that any issues or delays are addressed promptly.
  • Review and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and inventory management teams to ensure that raw materials and finished goods inventory levels are maintained at appropriate levels.
  • Communicate with customers and sales teams regarding production schedules and any potential delays or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Train and mentor production control planner 1 and other team members as needed.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other production planning software.
