Position Summary Information

Minimum Qualifications
  • BOC Certification
  • Eligible for state licensure by the State of North Carolina Board of Athletic Training
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • One to three years experience in athletic training after certification or a Master's degree
License/Certification Required

  • Eligible for state licensure by the State of North Carolina Board of Athletic Training
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Athletic Trainer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
  • Daily athletic training room operations
  • Coverage of events and practices for sports as assigned
  • Supervision of athletic training students
  • Administrative duties assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Health and Well-Being
