Burlington is a leading global manufacturer of fabric solutions focused on innovation, sustainability and quality craftsmanship. We are looking for a dynamic Business Planning Manager to join our team responsible for understanding the sales rates of businesses served by the assigned Burlington Line of Business and analyzing the impact of those rates on critical aspects of the business. Work with sales and sales information to develop forecasts and supply chain production schedules, and work with plant planning, procurement, and outside processor resources to execute the supply chain schedules while meeting company objectives for inventory levels and customer delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze rates of sales to optimize production flows, capacities, inventory and responsiveness to customers.
  • Utilize supply chain management tools and methods to optimize production schedules and inventory levels required to meet customer demands and company strategies.
  • Work with plant planning, procurement, and outside processing vendors to translate customer demand into production requirements
  • Assist sales and finance in developing sales forecasts according to customer sales history, current order requirements, and inventory strategy.
  • Monitor & analyze production flows as it relates to scheduled production versus orders and forecast
  • Establish and maintain acceptable levels of inventory versus company targets.
  • Conduct sales analysis as requested.
  • Communicate and resolve cross functional issues between product development, plant planning and sales
  • Manage complexity of customers and products
  • Work with sales and production to implement policies to better manage the business
  • Monitor, manage and minimize inventories including aged inventory reviews

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations planning, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in planning, supply chain, business analyst, or inventory management.
  • ASM (APICS) association is a plus.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of various MRP databases and report generation tools, as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in and knowledgeable of planning practices and manufacturing processes, prior experience in textile operations a plus.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment to accomplish division goals
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
