Minimum Qualifications

Education

B.S. or Pharm. D. degree from an accredited college/university of pharmacy required.

Licensure/

Certification

Licensed to practice pharmacy in North Carolina or eligible for licensure. May accept a board eligible graduate for up to 120 days prior to licensure.

Experience

One year experience as a hospital pharmacist preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Demonstrated knowledge of clinical pharmacy best practices, policies, procedures and regulations.

* Exhibits knowledge and a basic understanding regarding the age specific needs of neonatal, adolescent, pediatric and geriatric patients.

* Ability to serve as a positive role model who collaborates well with all teammates.

* Ability to provide excellent customer service to all patients and teammates.

* Innovative thinking, self-initiative, planning and organizational skills required.

* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

* Proficient with MS Office applications, pharmacy software, and able to learn new software rapidly.

* Ability to tolerate latex products and exposure to hazardous drugs.

* Ability to stand or walk on uncarpeted floors for duration of shift.
