Who you are
As the Controller, you are responsible for the overall operations of an assigned portfolio, ensuring that practices comply with organizational accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations. You'll manage a team of 4+ accounting managers/supervisors, each with teams of 5-6 accountants. This entails oversight of approx. 300+ properties across multiple markets including various key client portfolios. The Controller acts as the main contact with Market Leaders and key clients, which entails building and maintaining these relationships and providing high level accounting expertise.
You bring a positive attitude in everything you do, as demonstrated in strong relationships with your clients and colleagues. You also look for opportunities for continuous improvement by monitoring and reviewing accounting processes and procedures and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and improve internal controls. You're flexible and can jump in to help others whenever necessary. You enjoy collaborating with other subject matter experts and regional leaders to develop innovative solutions to support our business objectives and growth plans.
