Your Role
As Shipping Administrator, you will be an important member of the Transportation team. You will work with a team of 5 other Transportation professionals and you will report to our Transportation Manager You will work a Hybrid schedule #LI-Hybrid of 3 days in office and 2 days working from home. you will work from our South Charlotte location (About 4 miles from Carowinds)
You will work as a liaison between Engineering and Buyers to obtain additional information on parts as requested for Engineering to determine the correct HTS number and if EPA, FDA, Anti-dumping (ADD/CVD) is applicable.
You will answer emails regarding orders shipped. Scan, email and/or fax paperwork to needed personnel.
You will schedule pickups with our forwarders or the customer's forwarder based on the directions provided.
You will contact the order source on international orders when no directions are provided.
You will create the required Export documents for international orders.
You will create Certificate of Origins when requested by the customer.
You will provide HTS and IOR on Import shipments to our Brokers on inbound shipments when the information is missing on the commercial invoice.
you will provide TSCA Certificate on Import shipments when required.
You will reroute shipments with LTL and small package couriers when requested.
You will schedule return pickups with LTL carriers on parts being returned.
You will work with LTL carriers and the responsible division on shipments needing more information to complete delivery or OS&D issues needing to be resolved.
You will coordinate freight claims on LTL and Parcel shipments
You will create SOPs for freight claims processing
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications
At least 2 years experience in transportation or other related field
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Skills
Organized and self motivated
Project management skills and knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication
Solid skill set with Microsoft office products, especially Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
